Curious.

A not curious conscience.

Original painting by Gianni Russomando.[1]

To benefit from one’s calling[2]/83.

It is the resistance that above all makes us curious, because conscience does not care about it as long as known resources are sufficient elsewhere. And how can it be defined? It is not resistance to conscience.

Freud, however, is certain that he detected resistance from the patient, therefore the urge exists—or rather, a motion-towards-goal[3]. Yet, conscience does not care about it, and this is the most interesting fact: usually conscience does censor the unconscious, but not in this case. There is something in the unconscious that conscience simply has no interest in removing.
